Critical Disclaimer — Read Before Using This Website

  • This website does not provide legal advice. All content — every article, guide, Q&A, case study, calculator, glossary entry, and any other material — is general information only and does not constitute legal counsel of any kind.
  • No attorney-client relationship is formed by accessing, reading, or using this website, contacting us through any channel, or receiving any communication from us.
  • Do not act on anything you read here. Israeli law is complex, fact-specific, and subject to change. Any information on this Site may be incomplete, outdated, or inapplicable to your specific situation.
  • You must consult a qualified Israeli attorney before taking any legal action, signing any document, making any financial decision, or relying on anything found on this website.
  • By continuing to use this website you confirm that you have read and understood this disclaimer and that you agree to these Terms of Use in their entirety.

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and IsraelNonResident.com, operated by Adv. Eli Shimony, 28 HaArba'a Street, North Tower, Floor 13, Tel Aviv, Israel ("we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of this website and all content, features, tools, services, and communications made available through it (collectively, the "Site").

By accessing or using the Site in any way — including browsing, reading, submitting a contact form, sending an email, or using any calculator or tool — you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them in full. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately stop using the Site.

These Terms are to be read together with our Legal Disclaimer and our Privacy Policy, both of which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. No Legal Advice — No Attorney-Client Relationship

Nothing on the Site constitutes legal advice. The Site provides general legal information for educational purposes only. Legal information is not a substitute for legal advice. Legal advice is advice given by a qualified attorney who has reviewed the specific facts of your matter and with whom you have formed a formal attorney-client relationship through a written engagement agreement.

No attorney-client relationship is created by accessing or using this Site, submitting any form, sending any email or message, or receiving any communication from us. The only way an attorney-client relationship is established with us is through a signed, written retainer or engagement letter. Until that has occurred, any information you share with us is not legally privileged.

You must not rely on any content on this Site to make legal, financial, or personal decisions. Always consult a qualified Israeli attorney before taking any action in connection with any matter that involves Israeli law.

3. Scope of These Terms

These Terms apply to all content, pages, tools, and features of the Site, including but not limited to:

  • All articles, guides, and legal topic pages;
  • All Q&A pages and responses;
  • All case studies and illustrative scenarios;
  • All calculators, estimators, and interactive tools;
  • All glossary definitions and legal term explanations;
  • All country-specific legal guides;
  • All contact forms, email communications, and messaging channels;
  • Any other content or feature now existing or added in the future.

4. Permitted Use of the Site

You may access and use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial informational and educational purposes, subject to these Terms. You may print or download a reasonable number of pages for your own private, non-commercial reference use only, provided you do not modify the content and you retain all copyright and other notices.

All other uses of the Site and its content are prohibited without our prior written consent, including any commercial use, resale, redistribution, or systematic extraction of content.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree that you will not, under any circumstances:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  • Use the Site to transmit any unsolicited, bulk, or spam communications;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, its servers, or any system or network connected to the Site;
  • Use any automated means — including bots, scrapers, crawlers, or data-mining tools — to access, copy, monitor, or extract data from the Site without our express written permission;
  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, display, transmit, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without our express written consent;
  • Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notice, copyright notice, or legal disclaimer appearing on the Site;
  • Introduce any virus, malware, ransomware, or other harmful code or material to the Site;
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
  • Engage in any conduct that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Site or interfere with any other party's use of the Site;
  • Use the Site to make false, misleading, or fraudulent enquiries or submissions;
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any software used in connection with the Site;
  • Frame or mirror any part of the Site without our prior written permission;
  • Use the Site in any manner that could bring the Site, us, or Adv. Eli Shimony into disrepute.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including but not limited to text, articles, guides, Q&A content, case studies, graphics, logos, images, icons, audio clips, software, and the overall design and compilation of the Site — is the exclusive property of IsraelNonResident.com and/or Adv. Eli Shimony and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including copyright, trademark, and database rights.

The IsraelNonResident.com name, logo, and all related marks are the property of their respective owners. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right or licence to use any trademark, logo, or service mark displayed on the Site.

You may not use, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, translate, adapt, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without our prior written permission. Any unauthorised use of the content on the Site may give rise to a claim for damages and may constitute a criminal offence.

If you believe that any content on the Site infringes your intellectual property rights, please notify us at office@eshimony-law.com with details of the alleged infringement.

7. User Submissions and Communications

When you submit any information, question, enquiry, comment, or other content to us through any channel — including contact forms, email, WhatsApp, or any other means — you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to use, store, reproduce, translate, adapt, and otherwise process that submission for the purposes of responding to your enquiry, improving our services, and developing our content, subject to our Privacy Policy.

You represent and warrant that any submission you make: (a) is accurate and not misleading; (b) does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; (c) is not defamatory, obscene, offensive, or unlawful; and (d) does not contain any virus or other harmful code.

We reserve the right to refuse, remove, or decline to act on any submission at our sole discretion, without notice or liability to you.

8. Accuracy and Currency of Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information on the Site is accurate and up to date at the time of publication. However, Israeli law — including statutes, regulations, court decisions, administrative guidance, tax rates, thresholds, and procedural requirements — changes regularly. We make no representation or warranty, express or implied, that any content on the Site is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose.

We are under no obligation to update any content on the Site following publication. The presence of any publication or "last updated" date does not represent a warranty of accuracy as of that date or any subsequent date.

Specific figures, rates, deadlines, thresholds, and procedural steps described anywhere on the Site may have changed. You must independently verify all such details with a qualified Israeli attorney before relying on them.

9. Calculators and Interactive Tools

Any calculators, estimators, or interactive tools on the Site produce approximate figures for general illustrative purposes only. They are not professional advice of any kind. The results they produce are based on simplified general inputs and do not account for all variables, exceptions, individual circumstances, treaty provisions, or changes in law. Results must not be used for tax filing, legal declarations, official applications, transaction pricing, or any other purpose that requires accurate professional figures. Always obtain a verified calculation from a qualified Israeli attorney, accountant, or tax professional.

10. Third-Party Links and Content

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including government portals, regulatory bodies, and other external resources. These links are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content, privacy practices, terms, or availability of any third-party website. The inclusion of any link does not constitute our endorsement of the linked site or any information it contains. You access any linked website entirely at your own risk.

11. Disclaimers of Warranty

The Site and all content, tools, and features on it are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted availability.

We do not warrant that: (a) the Site will be available at all times or without interruption; (b) any errors or defects will be corrected; (c) the Site is free of viruses or other harmful components; (d) the information on the Site is accurate, complete, or current; or (e) use of the Site will achieve any particular result in any legal, financial, or personal matter.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IsraelNonResident.com, Adv. Eli Shimony, and their respective directors, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns shall not be liable to you or any third party for any loss or damage of any kind — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive — arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Site;
  • Any reliance on content, tools, calculators, or any other material on the Site;
  • Any action or omission taken on the basis of anything read on the Site;
  • Any inaccuracy, error, omission, or outdated content on the Site;
  • Any interruption, suspension, or termination of the Site or any part of it;
  • Any virus or other harmful component transmitted through the Site;
  • Any third-party content or website linked to from the Site;
  • Any unauthorised access to or use of our servers or any personal information held on them;
  • Any communication with us prior to the formation of a formal attorney-client engagement.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which liability is asserted (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless IsraelNonResident.com, Adv. Eli Shimony, and their respective directors, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of or access to the Site; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; (d) your infringement of any third-party rights; or (e) any submission, content, or communication you provide to us.

14. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Site, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Availability and Technical Issues

We do not guarantee that the Site will be available at all times or that access will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free. We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Site or any part of it at any time, for any reason, without notice and without liability to you. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused by any unavailability of the Site, regardless of cause.

16. Termination of Access

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion and without notice or liability, to terminate or restrict your access to the Site or any part of it at any time, for any reason, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or any applicable law. Termination of access does not affect any rights or obligations that arose before termination.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tel Aviv, Israel for the resolution of any such dispute.

If you access the Site from outside Israel, you are responsible for compliance with your local laws to the extent they apply. Nothing in these Terms limits our right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any jurisdiction.

18. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time, for any reason, with or without notice to you. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Site.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, void, or unenforceable for any reason, that provision shall be deemed severed from these Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.

20. Waiver

No failure or delay by us to exercise any right or remedy under these Terms shall operate as a waiver of that right or remedy. No single or partial exercise of any right or remedy shall preclude the further or other exercise of that or any other right or remedy. A waiver of any breach or default under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach or default.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Legal Disclaimer, our Privacy Policy, and our Editorial Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us with respect to your use of the Site. They supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, representations, warranties, and understandings, whether oral or written, relating to their subject matter.
